Socci is...

THE ULTIMATE SOCCER TRAINING GAME!

Since Socci’s introduction to the Soccer Community at Large, it has enjoyed the approval of Coaches and Parents across the Country. Through it’s presence at the Annual Coaches Conventions and Participating in The Kick-It 3V3 Tournaments Socci has been able to create a network of Teams, Schools and Clubs that have been able utilize Socci’s Overall Skills Improvement Techniques.

"We have used SOCCI in our Advanced and Elite Summer Camps with Great Success.

The focus is on Technical Ability so it goes hand in hand with our own COERVER curriculum, and the Kids Love it"

Tom Reilly, Director

Coerver of NJ, PA and DE

Socci is currently used by Olympic Soccer Development Programs, Youth Soccer Organizations, Clubs, School Teams, Parks and Recs, Soccer Camps

and YMCA's across America and is Looking to Branch Out Internationally.

Here are some of the reasons:

1.   Socci is played with a smaller and therefore more challenging ball which hones your skills to the core of the ball.  When you challenge your skills to a higher level, you win higher skills.

2.  Socci is played by controlling the ball without hands or arms, in the air, from the first bounce, and by non-consecutive ground plays.  It’s a fun and challenging method of ball control which focuses on the aerial foot skills of players in motion.  You never get to stop the ball to look around or catch your breath.  You have to think fast, feel your sur-roundings, sense your teammates, and focus your instincts.  Every ball touch is a skill building play.

3.  Socci is played using smaller goal targets.  The goals in Socci are small and low.  This requires players to practice accuracy and teaches them to get over the ball when shooting.

4.  Socci goals are less than 40 feet apart from each other.  That means there are more shots on goal.  More shots means more practice!  You can shoot on goal from any posi-tion on the field because it’s never out of range.

5.  Socci goals are multi-dimensional.  The goals are made of small targets, which when added together create a staggering 60+ square feet of goal scoring area.  That’s a lot of goal compacted into a small package.  The unique challenge created is a target that can be scored on from all sides AND the basket!  That’s right, ALL SIDES!

Offense:  As a player moves around the goal, the goals position relative to the player changes from one moment to the next.  Now it’s in front of you, the next step it is to the side of you, and another step puts it behind you.  If you shoot at it from behind the goal, BEWARE, you are now shooting toward your own goal!

Defense:  As a defensive player defends the goal there are a variety of ways Socci’s 3-Dimensional goals create a unique challenge.  You have to be careful not to score on your own goal when blocking a shot.  This requires special finesse and quick thinking.  As you try to protect one side of the goal you never know if offense will shoot at the side of the goal or if offense will lob the ball over your head to put it in the basket.  And per-haps most challenging of all, you can only cover on side of the goal at a time.  All it takes for offense to render your defense useless is a quick pass to the other side of the goal.

6.  Socci favors teamwork and finesse.  As you attempt to score on the goal you will quickly find that ball hogs don’t win at this game.  The trick to Socci strategy is to pass the ball.  As soon as you have the ball defense can easily cover the goal; one player comes up to put pressure on you, another drops back to protect the goal.  That leaves only one player to defend the other 2 sides of the goal when playing 3v3 Socci.  When you pass the ball quickly to the weak side of the goal, you create more scoring opportu-nities.    Good Socci play involves fast passes across the goal until defenses weak side is found and exploited.

7.  Socci is non-contact.  It’s all about skill and teamwork.  What good would it do to rig-orously train and improve your teams foot skills only to have a bunch of injured players unable to play on game day?  Socci is a fully non-contact team sport that practices skills without the risk of injury.

8.  Socci is prime conditioning!  You’ll be amazed by how much exercise your players get when playing Socci.  The goals are close together so transitions from one side of the field to the other are quick and frequent.  It’s like doing sprints only lots more fun and you get great skills training at the same time as you get supreme conditioning.

9.  Socci is extremely fast paced with ball possession changing frequently.  You have to be fast mentally and physically.  One moment you’re offense, the next you are defense.  Sometimes you’re even shooting on the opposing goal at the same time as you are de-fending your own goal.  Think fast!

10.  Socci is fun!  Your players will have lots and lots of fun and we all know that having fun is good for the learning curve.

11.  Socci is inexpensive!  Oh yea!  Sure you could buy other practice goals, and for a comparable price, but with other goals, you only get one target.  With Socci you get 4 targets in every goal!  That’s 8 targets with every set.  You can use Socci goals for tar-get practice using all three sides at once (space saving).  And, Socci goals have both vertical and horizontal targets so you can practice power and finesse with the same piece of equipment.

12.  Socci goal sets come with everything you need to implement Socci into your soccer training program and IT ALL FITS INTO ONE LITTLE BAG so you don’t have to worry about where you’re going to store it.  Pop it in the trunk of your car, take it to games, to the beach, wherever.  It’s fully SPORTABLE!
